Next up, the tomato. This was an interesting one, as it provided a bit of a challenge as far as the actual cutting went.

The Scissors went first. The resulting slices were squashed and uneven, and there was poor seed retention in one end-piece. There were suggestions that the bluntness factor of the Scissor blades may have been an issue here, but these were dismissed in the light of the blatant non-sharpness of the Pizza Cutter.

The Pizza Cutter didn’t put up a great performance on the tomato either, with clear evidence of skin peeling and a definite squash to one end-piece:

Despite some shortcomings, the Pizza Cutter makes it one all

However, there was a definite sense of evenness to the Pizza Cutter efforts that was absent with the Scissors, and this clinched it for the Pizza Cutter.
