The Police

Andy Summers, Sting, Stewart CopelandI’m currently sat up waiting for the new Formula 1 season to start. With the grand prix taking place in Australia it kicks off at 3am our time and I’m wondering what to do.

So I thought I’d share with you my new Best Thing Ever: I’m going to see The Police in September, and I’m dead exited. That’s it really; I’ve nothing more to say :D

Other than that six months is a long time to wait.

Schumi Confirms His Retirement

Michael SchumacherSo what has seemed increasingly likely over the past weeks and months has finally been confimed: Michael Schumacher is to retire from Formula One at the end of this season.

Normally I try not to post news stories as there’s not really anything I can add to them, and as far as I know there aren’t many people who turn to Spatho.com to keep current on world issues (if you are one of these people, then I apologise for not keeping you properly informed and may I point you to the BBC). Jenson Wins!

Jenson Button wins the Hungarian GP 2006

Jenson Button has won the Hungarian Grand Prix 2006! What good news this is. I want to congratulate him on finally achieving a victory (though I don’t expect he’ll read this), and hope that this is the first of many. It was a well earned result on the back of a good strategy and a great drive, in what was far and away the most exciting race of the year (though let’s face it, there wasn’t much of a standard to beat), and I’m glad I was home to watch it with my Dad :)

All those second places and and missed opportunites, reliability issues and unfulfilled potential and now it has happened at last. Keep it up Jens!
